This movie was not true to the book so fans of the book might be disappointed by the huge plot details that were revealed too early. Other than that the CGI was great and the dialogue was okay too. Go see this movie if you can tolerate cheesy cliche phrases and young teens getting themselves in trouble that is way over their heads.

I went to go see it with the hope that it would make up for the murder of the first movie, but was greatly disappointed. I went with my friend who had not read the book, and she thought it was really good, so if you haven't read the book series, go right ahead and see it, but if you have read the book series, I would recommend re reading the books instead, or make your own version of the movie. If you go see this movie, you will be sitting in the movie theater wanting to yell so loudly on how badly the screen writer and the director screw this movie up, buy once again changing major points in the storyline.

for those who love riordan's books, this installment pulls the rest from book one and pushes the story forward. some old foes and some new allies make it a fun nite. enjoy

.....after the artistic liberties taken during the first Percy Jackson movie, there should be no surprises that the second one would follow down the same path. At least annabelle finally has the right hair & eye color. Definitely entertaining, excellent movie for teens, and worth watching once. If you're a riordan fan....check your expectations at the door and watch with an open mind....you'll enjoy the movie more!

Its hard to take books with this much detail and make an equally amazing movie. That being said I think they did a great job pulling the key parts from the book. I loved the hippocampus, and Tucci as Mr D. Well done! We will add it to our library when it comes out on DVD.
